The joy of Christmas… or not.
It is my choice. It is your choice. It is our choice how we choose to celebrate Christmas.
I have gotten away (a lot) from the commercial aspect of Christmas and am fully committed to the loving aspect of Christmas.
It can be a very joyful time of year. It can be quite the opposite for many.
What we were taught, shown and have experienced of Christmas pasts may not be the best things for Christmas today. It is okay.
May you meet yourself where you are at. May you be true to you. May you let love carry the joy of Christmas for you.
The have to’s, the should’s, the better’s, the ‘but I always did it this way’ may not matter as much (and definitely not feel as good) as the love, inner joy, inner peace and trust in doing Christmas as you are this year; as you are today.
If you dread something, face it from love. If you are hurting, face it with love. If you are distressed, face it with love. Do not shy away from what you are feeling. Embrace it, feel it and lovingly process it to the best of your ability.
Our loved ones want us to be happy. Only we can tell/show them what is happy to us. Dare we share this honest truth with them; with ourselves…
Christmas is Jesus’ birthday. Christmas is spirit, peace, joy and goodwill to all.
May you stay in the spirit of Christmas to the best of your ability. What feels right to you… What feels joyful to you… What feels celebratory to you…
This is my wish for how I hope/pray you spend your Christmas this year. As we live in our own loving truth, we empower others to do the same.
Be where you are and, lovingly, share the spirit of Christmas with your own self and with others. This is the gift that gives most deeply.
May you give as deeply as you possibly can.
Merry Christmas to the you that you are today. Nothing else, perhaps, matters as much. Feel and be the spirit from which you are experiencing life now. Always let love.
Let it be a ‘Oh Holy Night’ and not a ‘oh no I don’t want to deal with this’ week…
